- Shake out all sand and debris, then machine wash it on a cold, gentle cycle with mild detergent. For stubborn wax buildup, pre-treat by melting the wax with a hair dryer or in the sun and peeling it off before washing. Air dry completely in the shade to prevent material shrinkage or damage.
